Giuli Cordara

Born in Milan, Italy, Giuli began her professional career by opening the first advertising agency in Italy dedicated exclusively to fashion. Her clients included John Galliano, Jean Paul Gaultier, and Dries Van Nothen, among others. In 1992 she left the fashion industry to direct the HR Prince Sadruddin Aga Khan’s Bellerive Animal and Nature Conservation Fund, which is dedicated to protecting species in danger of extinction. Under the Bellerive Foundation Italy she was able to create some of the most important European laws in matters of environment and animal protection. For ten years Giuli collaborated as an author of four very popular prime time scientific TV programs, some of which are still on the air. In 2000, Giuli met the photographer/filmmaker Gregory Colbert and produced his first public exhibition, Ashes and Snow, which met with international acclaim and effectively launched his public career. She then moved to New York where she managed Colbert’s studio. In 2004, she built a beach house in Tulum and in 2017 she decided to move to Tulum to start a new adventure. Giuli explains, “When I arrived in Tulum the town was undeveloped. Today Tulum is an expanding small town that provides a perfect opportunity to showcase the magnificent local crafts of the region.” “Kaahal” means “origin” in Maya, or simply “where you come from.” Kaahal Home Tulum is Giuli’s tribute to the quality and mastery of the artisans of this beautiful and ancient country.

Roseta Camps

Roseta Camps is a traveling Catalan who, after visiting many countries and learning about their cultures, was enchanted by Mexico thirty-three years ago. The people of Mexico, along with its culture, history, landscapes, colors, flavors and its “chile” stole her heart. She always returned to Mexico in her travels, until she made it her home twelve years ago. Roseta has immersed herself into the community of Tulum by volunteering in many community projects and participating in civic activities. She also teaches children from various local schools how to play chess—one of her passions. About Mexico, Roseta says, “I LOVE MEXICO, I JUST LOVE IT!!!”
